Here's a few stills from the animation I'm working on:

here's a simple eye & skin shader test. No texture, no sss, no GI/FG.
I'm going for the speed of rendering here. This one was about 5 sec, so not that bad.
That was the introduction. Now, th problem I have. I'm attaching a simple FG test of th scene. I want to render the scene with a FG and bake the textures, so I can proceed rendering with standard renderer. Anybody can point me into the right direction? Preferably I'd use Maya with Turtle or Mental Ray.
The next problem is: even when I bake the shadows and let's say use it in my scene's incadescence textures' channels + set up the lights to include only my character, how would I go about the shadow cast by the character? I mean It will darken the baked shadows right?
Is there a way to set up the mask on the shaders of the scene the way it wouldn't render shadows in places where there already is baked shadow?
Or the other way, to render baked shadows on surfaces only where there's no cast shadows from my character?
I'd really appreciate any help on this, because this issue is stopping my production....
The alternative I have is to simulate FG, but then it'd still require quiet long renderings with many lights and shadow maps. I could also paint shadows by hand based on FG screen shot.
The other solution would be rendering separate walls /objects from front view and darkening my textures by hand in photoshop. HELP.
