Haven't gotten much feedback on my challenge thread, so I thought I'd post here.
The planet in the back needs to be mapped. I'm looking here at the lighting and modeling/texturing.
Any comments?

This is probably going to sound incredably bad, but here goes. There is nothing wrong with the modelling, texturing and lighting etc. But i don't feel you've portrayed the Space Opera theme. Grand Space Opera conjures up images of passion, peace, war, life & death battles and huge intergalactic warfare with huge battle ships, inceptors, explosions and things. But sadly i see nothing of that here.

Although it's a great work, it just doesn't convey them emotion needed.

There is nothing wrong with the modelling, texturing and lighting etc.actually, I feel there IS something wrong with the lighting...it looks like its being lit with the default light + default renderer. Not sure how much you can do with the remaining time in the challenge... I'd just say work on the lighting (as I don't think you have enough time to work on modeling/texturing anything else) and dont forget that giant watermass (planet?) needs a texture.

if u do fix the lighting issues, and render your planet to look like a planet the only thing left is to drop out all those copy paste's you did to get all that stuff, it looks way to jumbled, b ut if u drop out your copy pastes and just keep 1 of everthing and do everything mentioned above, i would actually like your image.
