basically its about texturing a object without using image maps but only the built in functions of LW, like procedurals, gradiants and so on...
I just thought Id let you all in whats happening over att newteks challenge thread by showing you my entry sofar, and I hope more people in the challenge show their work here, because there is some realy good stuff comming out of this challenge..
anyhow this is it so far...

ByteHawk....you know those hours that your sleeping....you could steal some of those for this contest.....you have to enter something...there are 4 winners....1 gets the book...and three gets Eki's plugins.........what are you waiting for....

Proton :
I only sleep 7 to 8 hrs a day
if I don't I get lazy and loose my imagination
work : 10 to 12 hrs
go to work and come back: 1
eat, family n' stuff : 2.5
lightwave : 2 (my other project - you know...)
read post/mail/bookkeeping/shopping : 2
but I will try to enter !!!
btw I have a great idea for a short tutorial, will mail ya when I have more.

I saw this on the Lightwave site board, and I didn't realise it was yours - excellent stuff!
The way you have simulated stubble is really cool :)
Keep it up! (Your one is my favourite entry so far)
This reminds me that i really should start on my entry too... :surprised .... :cool:

Stubble is the short hairs on the head...the hair that grows back .....when it is very short we call it stubble...

Well, here is my version, a cleaner and less grunge look. Inspired after watching the movie " The Touch ". Not as good as Patlab but I am happy with my work so far. Any comment to improve is welcome.
