Sir Lumps - that is really great! Wonderful expression!
Andrewley - I'm so glad you're back. Your sketches are always so WONDERFUL! Great job!
eug3n - Congrats on your first completed sketch! LOVE IT! I'm especially fond of turtles.
a quick crit tho...the turtle looks kind of like he's flying. To prevent that, you could add some blades of grass in front of his feet to show he's actually IN the grass. And you could add more shading to his tummy. Right now he looks almost like he's lit from underneath. But its really great.....Maybe he should be flying in the air? That might be fun too!

Thanks for the welcome back Robin :) I'm sick of looking at polygons so I thought I'd drop by the sketch group for a bit. Your sketches keep getting better and better btw!

I kind of used reference for the clouds and windmill.... I had my derwents case infront of me and there's an image of a windmill on it. I got the idea from that. From there, with a combination of loud Korn, occasionally glancing at the image on the derwents case, and tuning out.. well.. the result is above.
Can't It Go Faster?
My wife can relate too!
You hit that one right on the spot Robin.
Great sketches guys, I had a good laugh.

Impressive sketches again. (as usual) And again I must say, Sir Lumps, nice style. I like the cartoony outline style you use, keep it up. Reinier, awesome again, what amazes me the most is the perfect angle you always use. :) Ivanov, good to see you here and how fast is that sjappie driving? :P TPG, "ook al aan de knallerij?" Good to see you here too :).
Keep it up all!

Ivanov: Love it, as one newbie to another-welcome :)
I'm glad that the topic got some reactions. My sad little kid was alone for a long time in this thread :D (and thanks for some of the nice comments)
I'm having a hard time coming up with something for the 'paint it black' topic though...
my friend recep and i decided to join the sketch group at here cgtalk yesterday. As normally we would do our sketches seperately. But this time it became a collaboration.
I've started to paint this but on the middle of painting i got a call and need to go outside. I tell my idea to Recep and want him to finish this. Yes it still looks not finished but neither Recep, nor I have good skills on 2d. I hope you like at least the "idea". :)
Promise, We'll join next sketches seperately :)

turx - I really like that! No worries about a collaborative effort. Good job.
Crimsonstring - what do you mean puny? I think that's really nice, I love that the car is up on blocks! good job!
drewblit - Welcome. I really like your sketch!
FridayEve - AWESOME!!
Art2 & Clockwerkz - glad you liked it. Hope all goes well with both of your wives' pregnancy and delivery and that you both have happy healthy babies! That's very exciting, but the waiting is so hard! Congratulations to both of you and your wives!

Thanks robinayles. It could have been done in less time, and it's kinda far from the quality I was aiming for.
I forgot this in the previous post: great job everyone, some of you never dissapoint the audience
Hello everybody!
Really great works so far.
I'm looking to this Thread for nearly half of an year now and i thought it's time to start posting here!
But unfortunately i noticed, after i started to work, that my picture means "Can't it go faster?"
Although i want to show my picture to you. I'm currently working on head's (studying Andrew Loomi's book) so i spent most time on drawing the head, but it don't looks like it should do.
But let's not beat about the bush:

woox - Welcome! Nice first post. Just keep working at it and you will get better. Faces are really hard to get right. I love the 50's diner feel to your sketch.
eug3n - yes, that's better. And the hill really adds something to it too. I really like it! Great job!
