heh heh. Cool. Box waiting for me when I ran home for lunch.

On the back of the white box the materials come in were embossed letters. A fitting message indeed!!

Oh I have already found a number of ways this beats the snot out of how i used to model in another app.

I had an F117 Stealth model I was working on. This plane is very angular. Modo's edge tools allowed me to skip all the planning and just build it, then use edge tools to put a little bit of a rounded edge on the surfaces where I wanted them, and do it interactively so I see how much of a curvature or number of divisions I wanted, and i could see the effect and change it without having to move back and forth through countless undos. It was MUCH faster to get a decent mesh started than model, cut or bandsaw, subdivide, undo, adjust, redo, adjust, undo, adjust again..........

the time savings, interactivity and well thought out tools is going to really be a modeling boost.

1) Edges
2) Element action center
3) User definable work plane
4) Edges
5) Locking geometry
6) Smaller floating views of the model while tweaking details.

:)

3 and 6 are absolutely a must have. 3 especially. being able to define the workplane saves a ton of headaches.
