Hi everyone,

Does anyone have this Motherboard and know what the CPU upgrade options are?
I have an older system with a Athalon 1.333 processor. In the process of a general OS / Bios refresh I see that Asus released a Bios version 1009 that supports Athlon XP 2100+(Model 6)(Palomino).

I checked prices and at about $60.00 it might be worth an upgrade. But what about this Model 6 stuff. Is there a model 7 that won't work?

And what about the the XP 2800+ at 266 mhz, do you think that will work - or fit, Palomino vs Barton core?

To the best of my knowledge the highest CPU frequency that can be used with the A7V133 is 1.662 GHz (12,5 x 133) while the XP 2100+ is running at over 1700 GHz. Also you should take care if the correct core voltage is available.
