What are the limitations with Shadow Caching?

I've noticed it to be a life saver on objects that aren't moving, but if there's movement from either lights or objects, is it useless to even have it on?

Also, what about Volumetrics? I haven't run any tests yet as I can't imagine there being any difference.

it is and it isn't. Lets say you have 50 shadows, it is inteligent to only recalculate the ones that move or the shadows that hit moving objects. in this sense its still handy to haev on even wiht moving things.

Thats one of the two main limitations, theother is that it doesn't recognize alpha and transparency changes so a 50% transparent object changed to 75% won't update the shadow, so flush your cache and make a new one.
