View Full Version : Gradient help
Hi, I know this question will be a newbie question, but as i follow through a tutorial i found on net it showed an image which i'll be getting similar effect after i am done rendering, but for some reason i cannot find the "Gradient" feature that it mentioned. Here's the picture of the tutorial after rendering it.

The color effect is the main thing i am focusing on, because i really want to find out how this tutorial actually explained he uses "Gradient" for the material to get this effect. Can someone here please help me out?
Thanks in advance

I think you'll find it's a bhodiNUT channel. Click on the arrow next to the image text field and it's there under bhodiNUT channel.

I am not sure if thats an older version of C4D, but i just got my C4D couple month ago... so i am pretty new to it... sorry if i bring a lot of trouble to you guys.
Thanks again

That looks like one of the 3d volume shaders Mok,which will explain why you cant find it in the SLA menu itself. It could be "CHEEN" dont quote me on that though I have a diabolical memory :D
File > New > 3D volume shaders > cheen {materials editor} {hope I got that right}

That's easy to find:
In the material manager, click on File>New 3D Shader>BhodiNUT Volume>BhodiNUT CHEEN
That's it!
Thanks for your replying guys. I tried to look under File>New 3D Shader>BhodiNUT Volume>BhodiNUT CHEEN and File > New > 3D volume shaders > cheen, but i can't find anything related to that. All i have under File > New 3D shader is "Fog" and "Terrain". I do think i am missing something out in my C4D, is there a solution for this?
Thanks again

Do you have the latest version of C4D XL 7?
SLA from BhodiNUT came with the 7.1 update, I think. Anyways, I would suggest to run the latest update. You will find it at http://www.maxoncomputer.com/ under support. The current version is 7.3.
Frank
Nope, I haven't download the update yet. So SLA doesn't come with XL7.0? or i might be able to download it as a plugin somewhere else?
Thanks
Frank, actually i updated it and it's working now!
I really appreciate for the people that helped me out here :P
YOU GUYS ROCK!
Thanks again
