View Full Version : Animated Textures - Best Channels?

I've a Quicktime Movie that's basically a walking person with the background masked out (a roto matte I did in Curious gFx) ie: transparent alpha.

I get how to make the movie (animated tex) play thanks to a tute I found through this forum (can't remember which one). However, when I load it into the Transparency channel, it's all black. I'm succeeding through the color and alpha channels combined though, but I'm not sure if that's the best way. Too many options for my little brain I guess.

It only works when I put the .mov into both the Color and Alpha channels. Seems wrong to me somehow but it's working like that. Also, both channels seem to need their Animation parameters set too.

Anyway, would someone give me some hints as to which channels to load the .mov into as well as their settings.

Thanks

You got it right: color and alpha.

And a little feeling of pride swept down over me.

More probably, just trial and error.

Thanks.
