Ornatrix, the once free hair plugin for 3ds max, has gone commercial. Stand-alone license now stands at 150$.

Thanks for the update. Ive been using Shag Hair in a production enviroment for a few years now, (shudders.) Been waiting for Shave and a Haircut to be released for Max, but that still appears to be mired in a legal quagmire.
Can anyone give some feed-back/comparisons of these three plugins?

I'm amazed that Ornatrix is being sold now....I downloaded the newest version a couple weeks ago (when it was still free) and it was incredibly buggy and crashed max so I got rid of it. It appears to use combs and stuff to sculpt the hair which is different from shag. Shag is easy to control I think but really memory intensive to render. Don't know about JoeAlter's.
