Hi im very very new to rigging. Something I was never interested in until I tried and now I like it alot. Anyways ive a problem. Sice Im sooo new to riggs and still in the process of experimenting and trying out stuff which is also giving me a better understanding xsi i cant seem to figure out how to fix this problem.

See the shoulders dont move with the spine. I think ive parented the shoulders to the spine properly but now that i think of it I parented them to the 1st BLUE bone at the base of his spine.

Can some explain or give me some undstanding of how to fix this? Seeing as this is my 1st character and rigg I really like to keep it simple as to grasp the fundementals of rigging before i get into the harder stuff like constraints and 2ndary anims.

hi david,

it looks like that the ik solvers keep your shoulders 'off the spine' so you could try to parent them to one of the spine segments (ie the joint where shoulders are parented to).

i am using maya so take this just as an assumption. cheers. :)
