Hello,

I got a 4.0 megapixel camera what I would like to use to make textures with. I'm just wondering what the correct way of taking pictures for use with in-game textures. Are there any specific things to keep in mind while shooting. For example light exposure ect, ect. I'm sure its important to keep light levels constant.

i personally have never used a camera to get my textures, but i think i can suggest not having any strong shadows or highlights on the surface your photographing, keep it all in neutural light, and try to be parralell to it so its not distorted.

Also very important is that you use your optical zoom (if you have one). Zoom the camera all the way in, without using digital zoom. That way you lose the perspective making the image flat since you'll be putting it on polygons. Unless you want to keep the perspective of course than ignore what I have said.

I hope this helps.
