Title: Rainy Day
Name: Az Juseknas
Country: Lithuania
Software: 3ds max, Photoshop

This is a recent remake of one of my first 3D works i rendered back in winter 2003. I wanted to try and remake it to see what ive learned during the last year :)

I tried to create dark atmosphare to contrast with the window and whats behind it and sort of make the viewer feel the rainy weather.

Software used: Max6 + Vray + PS7.

Your c&c are most welcome!

Superb work! Awesome colours and lighting. It looks like an oil painting almost! :D

very nice, very realistic. You could try adding a slight specular bloom at the windows, but just a very slight one, to enhance the contrast you're going for.

amazing feeling! I do agree that the wall is lit up way too much for such a dark window. Everything out the windows should be blown out a little, even if it is overcast or stormy outside.

I really love the look and texturing. Great job, it reminds me of living in San Francisco :)

Hey thanks! Im glad you guys like it :)
i tried adding some glow around the window in ps but it just didnt look right. if id added it, id have had to make the background pic brighter and it wouldnt look like a rainy day then :/ but thanks for your suggestions anyway - ill try that again, maybe it turns out better this time :)

Very nicely detailed work ..G8:thumbsup: !!C&C- *its may be only me,feel wall texture wont works for me,i dont know exactly watt is wroung ,may be too much sub surface scattering, blur or contrast ..? any1 who feels da same?.* i agree with keetum - try adding a slight specular bloom at the window.

anyways nice work...happy new year to all off you n your's family!!
Goodday

I love it!! wonderful mood and very artistic!
I think walls are ok and bloom would make sense in a sunny bright day not in a rainy one (imo) maybe I'd only increase a bit the brightness of the background image..
anyway.. :applause: :applause:
