I've come across a few problems when skinning a model I recently added bones to and rigged.
I set up the envelopes as accurately as possible but of course some parts are still distorted in certain positions. Specially when I move the upper leg to a 90° to the torso. So I adjusted the weights as accurately as possible in the skinning position and moved the leg up to that 90° angle to adjust the vertices weights individually there (my model is fairly lowpoly 2,5k without MeshSmooth ~7k with).
What has happened now is that some vertices have turned white and only accept weight values in a weird way. If i enter 0,5 and anything above they function as if their weight was set to 1, any value below 0,5 makes them act as though their weight was 0.
Any ideas what can be causing this? Its my first attempt at skinning so I may have missed something, or am just trying something that isnt supposed to work anyway, but I thought I'll just ask here before to be sure :)
Nice forum! Seems like a nice place to hang around :D
