View Full Version : animation: Home Special Fx
HI .
If I can tell wath's my favorite thinks to do in 3D I can say it's develouping special fx with not only pure 3D but also useing normal footage . This idea was inspired by some old movie called THE GUYVER . In secoud part there was a animation showing haw shield of GUYVER is creating on some running man . I didn't had any footage so I builded my hand form skan and add some (not realistic ) kind of metal . Here is the effect of my work ...

great work! did I get you right and the arm/hand is a (cg) model that you built from a scan? or is that real footage?
All in this project is 3D hand too .
But u can't turn this hand from back so it's like photogeometry or somethink ..

You need to do some color correction, either on the hand elements or on the metal elements because right now you have a cool light on the metal and a warmer light on the texture map. once you color correct alot of the realism issues will be resolved. Looking good so far though!

Very nifty. I suppose there is something to be said for color correction, but I like the sort of comic-book-airbrushed look of the metal. The only other thing that I would suggest is to soften the shadows on the skin a little bit. Good job, great concept and animation.

That's awsome. Isn't this really old?? I remeber seeing it somewhere like at least a year ago.

Hand and camera movements are a bit awkward. And I'm not sure about dof ;). Very nice otherwise ;)

id do some work on the position of the thumb
relax your hand and look at it from the side
unless you are a freak or a chimpanzee it should hang down
