working on this here(right).. i decided to refine it a bit and so i created the one left
it kinda looks to me more human less stylised but what do u think is more appropropriate?

Very nice start. I seriously love the eyebrows. Remind me of old-skool kung fu movies. Very good definition for such low poly work.

That's some very clean work on the face. Looks great. Always envious of ppl that can model faces acurately from comp art. It's not an easy task.

but which fits more? the left or the right?

If you are trying to follow the concept drawing pretty closely, then I'd go with the one on the right. It is a much more angular face. It looks darker.

for a dark elf it has a little too much of looking like a human. i actually prefer the one on the right cuz of the sunken and longer thinned out face. so when you did out the texturing later as shown (as in the colouring), the only thing that hints its an elf is the ear. otherwise it juz looks human to me. or is that the way you wanted it to be? you might also want to do adjustments to make the ear tip more vertical instead of flat behind horizontally. juz a few views on my side. =) but other than that. the progress is pretty good. cant wait to see how it looks like when its finished.

Looking good. For the hair I sugest using the eraser tool at 100% on the very ends of the hair then using one around 70% to just give it a lil more shape so it doesnt look like a straight edge. Its really awesome other then that and please post the texture maps and can you please make a tutorial on how to paint a face.

i like the style very much, but his hair does need a little work.
would you mind posting the wire ?
i am working on a goblin head and having a ton of trouble with the flow of the mesh.
anyway, looking good.
