its appalling to see you guys make such great "sketches" in such a short time. I spend hours and hours and it still looks like shit. But maybe i when i just keep trying, my 2d scribbles will look 3d, persuasive and made in a way more considerable short time.

What are you talking about? This post is really excellent! A very funny and warped take on the idea too. As for getting better, its a matter of practice. That's what the DSG is for. It gives you a fresh idea every day so you can keep working on your skills. Others comment and help you improve, and you see their work to get other ideas of style. Just keep hanging around and sketching.
But you are definately far too humble. This sketch ROCKS!

Thank you kind sir! The deformed cat is supposed to be doing the Joey from 'Friends' cat version of "How you doin'?" Glad someone picked up on his expression.
Took me a while to notice the "wrong sided thumb" Very funny post, tho...love that alien dude.

Thank you, you are too nice. I know what you said is all true; ive been lurking here around a lot. Its just that i underestimated the time in how fast i would get it done. It took my whole evening and morning and i still see flaws. I guess practise is the key here.

Times are usually exaggerated here, youll get used to people saying it took them like an hour but its usually a litte more then that.
I myself think only 20 mins have passed but then i look at the clock and 2 hours have gone by.

I'm baffled by the apparent ease many people here can draw human faces with a good expression. Me on the other hand suck at the shading of the face (as you can see from my entry on the second page of this thread) and giving it the proper volume. i hope to do more character work with the DSG.
