View Full Version : modelling clothing
orion 77 12-29-2004, 09:24 PM i have never been able to suss whether its better to model a full figure nude then model the clothing over the model or to just model the clothing straight off with no body underneath.
this is due to that fact i havent completed enough models to have come to a conclusion.
how do some of you go about it? it would also be handy if you could suggest some approaches.
cheers

I would model the body, then the cloth. That way, you are sure that the cloth follows the shape of the body.
For modeling cloth, you should use SubDs, make a few cloth folds and copy them around and rotate them, then make the in-betweens, works quite well.
