View Full Version : A beautiful night...
alberto86 12-29-2004, 07:33 PM Hi!
I had this idea about this scene some days ago, and so here you are... I haven't used no antialias because my computer is too slow and it used a lot of time for render the image...
What are your impression? C&C are welcome....
Bye!:)

Hm.. I think it's rather strange. Some feedback:
- The background should affect the table. The table looks much too dark.
- The objects aren't really smooth. They're like.. an 3D game developed in 1996 or so.
But it's nice. How long have you been working on this? (without counting the minutes/houres of rendering :P i'm feeling sorry for you.. my PC has a RAM of 512mb.. which is also rather low)
Btw, a very good thing of this one is that the reflection and transparency have been done very nicely!

Turn up the Anti-Aliasing in the render.
Use a clearer image. I looks like you textured a plane and stuck it behind the table.
The image is yellowish and your lights look white. Use colored lights.
Maybe use a lighter wood texture.
Shadows would help out a lot also.
The materials seem good though. Keep working on it. :)

except for the issues that have been said already the corque (is that how to write it) seems to be floating if you look at the shadows.

I would honestly consider losing that background all together and find one more suitable for the scene. I think it's going to be like pulling teeth to get these object to feel like they belong. Just google around. Or put the time in to model a background. Thats just what I would do. Good luck. As for the other objects I think they are coming along just fine. Keep it up.

Thank you for all the posts!!
I've modeled it in about 15 minutes, using Rhinoceros, But I used 1 or 2 hours for the scene and the texture... If I render the scene without antialias, the computer takes about 1 hour, but you shouldn't know how much time with it...!!!:)
I'll try to do my best for improove the wood texture and the background and... thanks to FerryvD because I havn't seen that the corque is floating!! :D
updates in the next days... Bye!:)

And here you are, after a lot of time, an update!!
At last I buyed a new computer and now I could render the scene in an acceptable time...
During this time I fixed the corque and some lights, added specular map to the table...
C&C are very welcome!

Hi all!
It's a long time that I haven't posted updates on this thread, but I've fixed some things and now here you are... more than 5 hours of rendering... probably I must decrease some rendering options...
I haven't changed the backgrond because in fact I haven't so much time, and I've done some other works...
cover me of C&C!:D
