Grooveholmes 12-29-2004, 09:15 AM Here is my progress on a Springfield Shotgun for a hl2 mod.
It weighs in at roughly 1100 triangles.

wow, that is looking freakin awesome. If thats hand painted then I think your are the best texture artist I have ever seen.
Can we see more angles, close ups, and wires?

Very decent modeling and texturing, I to thought it was a reference image at the first sight. Until I saw the calf, or whatever the flat wooden piece is called in English. If the model is for a HL2 mod, considering this to be the first person view weapon, you can probably add some polies to the calf.
Either way, looks very promising so far.

What's up with the aliasing man?! It confuses my eye with the contrast of that beautiful work ;)

Great work.... I especially love the barrel texture and the detail on the pins....
One small crit: the metal texture on the barrel tiles quite noticeably. I'd try to fix that especially if this is going to be a first person shooter weapon (player weapon).
If it's a NPC weapon then I wouldn't worry too much though, as it shouldn't show up too much.
