I recently made a scene using one of those crystal balls with the snow that floats around in it. Well I wanted to use Saslite for the grass on the ground inside the ball, but it never shows up. Can Saslite not be refracted?

Nope.

I suggest getting Grass Generator from polas.net. Also, If moneybags Joe Alter ever feels like updating Shave And A Haircut, that should then be able to reflect and refract, if it doesn't already. Maybe Sas 2 will get this features, which may be included in LW 8 or LW Mecca (a lite version).

You could just model the grass youself and try cloning it, as well, too.

Maybe you could render out your scene and use the image as a Reflection map. I think Eki has some LScript that helps with this (RefGen).

Try "Render Refraction" in Render Options

Saslite is very limited.
The full version is the way to go.
