There are different meaning to "scatter"

scatter instances of an object on a surface?
in a volume?
in random 3d space?

what do you want to do exactly?

But I need to know exactly how to do that. Is it using a modifier? :curious:
If yes, what modifier? :curious:

Well, this is one of the few answers I know. Heres a quick explanation for basic scattering

1. create an object, whether it be a model or just a spline.

2 Head over to the create button, under the geometry, click the drop down button thing, and scroll down to Compound Objects.

3. There should be a "scatter" button, click it (with your geometry still selected.)

4. Now you'll see a list of parameters, near the top you'll see a "pick distrobution object" button, you can click that then select the object you wish to scatter the geometry or spline over.

5 I also recamend going down to the display button and checking "hide distrobution object" and if you are spreading alot of things, changing the display to a lower value, such as 10%.

Theres a basic explantion of the scatter tool.
