Ouch! That must have hurt!
Not a thousand gleefull smileys can't show how happy i am about these news.
EA is my new Micro$oft to bash from now on.
:twisted::twisted::twisted::twisted:

Sorry to the employees of EA in here btw. I just hate any company that doesn't like to play fair with the competition.

I was about this- close to being one of their employees, EA is very open about it's objectives. At our 'graduation assesment centre' the speaker freely admited that EA's objective is to become the biggest entertainment studio/business in the world, up there with the likes of Warner bros, Sony, etc.. It might be a good thing, i don't know :-S

No. All power and money gathered under one name is realy a bad thing. Imagine that you want to become a game developer. Nope you can't EA has all the market. You strive for 3 years to make a realy good title, try to find a distributor, you can't they all have deals with EA. You try to distribute it yourself. Nope! All stores are tied under some kind of contract with the distributors to sell EA products excllusively. So you toss your game to the trashcan.

You can't realy see how bad they are screwing up the market untill you try to become a part of it.

I'm sure you've probably already seen this,

If even part of that is true, then NOT a good thing, imho. (Not a good thing for them to get that big.)

Yep, sure have seen that, sad if it's true.
I think EA's domination will have to mean that alot of studios will have to go down, but also smaller studios will need to come up with much more innovative games, and those that do will survive. Games such as this http://www.tale-of-tales.com/ look really interesting and it is aimed at more mature players.

Rodi,

Sorry, I've kind of gone off topic here from the original post, but I checked out the url for 8. Look really nice. Can't wait to see more of that in the future. It does look like it's going to be really unique. Thanks for the link.
