Cool.. that looks like an interesting model. So we are doin textures.. do we have a Texture Guru?! *heehe*

If we're working with my model we'll be working mostly with fixing Materials.

I want to work with Textures, of course, but I'm no guru in that area.

I think what I'm going to do is divide up the materials in WavefrontOBJ format so we can deal with it from there.

I was thinking about exporting it in pieces to DXF, but that would make for an overly difficult model to control.

Yeah I usually use Rhino -> Obj into C4D for rendering. so I do all my texturing and such in C4D :)

Have a quetion Grey. My node was banned by IRC - some idiot got it banned for some reason. Is there any other place that it can be held????

I'd like to joing in and see what others have to say about my favorite app. I also would like to pick up a few tips and tricks to boot.

well... it would have been nice... to come along, but i tried to connect to teh server and it banned me for not being registered apparently (how do you register if you can't connect in the first place?)... so ho hum. anyhow i guess another possibility is to use ICQ or AOhell IM's you can set up rooms with them quite easily... but i guess that's probably out of the question... ne'er mind.

I think people are gettin gbanned, because the server is reallllly strict and if it can't find a identd record for your host (Some ISP's don't publish this), they may just ban you.. We will endevour to try and find a alternative quick like..

I've seen the Galaxynet request Ident Server install a couple of times this week, and k-line me. This isn't normal, and the Galaxynet servers usually don't do that.

No matter what day you set it up at Grey, it's going to conflict...LOL....I think a mid week evening would be great. LIke 7:00 pm westcoast time. Enough time for us on this side to get home and not too late for the eastCoast...Of course anyone from europe would have to be in it at oh say, 4:00 am....:D So maybe a morning session would be good.....oh well..

What if I ran it twice a week?

I'd still like to have one on the weekened. Perhaps Noon Saturday on the West Coast which would make it about 9pm for Europeans and Sunday Morning for Australia/NewZealand.

The weekday workshop would make it very difficult to accomodate everyone... but maybe I could convince Dave to let someone from here set up a different time for Europeans and/or Kiwis (no offense to Stu) :D

I can post logs, but I'm not sure what value they'd have, as it's not a class we're running.

When Kai, Darf and whoever else come into make presentations, however, that would definately be a time to post logs, which I will do.
