If I remember correctly, there should be a buffer for shadows so you should use some buffer saver (search Flay.com) to get it...or if you can spend a couple of dollars/euros, buy Surpasses (http://sps.polas.net/sps), it'll help ya.

You can add a buffer export from the image processing panel then assign it to render out shadows only.
