Which are the must have, modeling specific plugin tools for LW 8? Especially free ones, but recommend the really good commercial ones too.

Jettobevel is a favorite for me.

UVImaginator for exporting my UV maps.

Delete_Map for deleting weight, texture, or morph maps all at once if desired.

Rope Editor!

There's a list over at Spinquad on useful modeler plugins:

[Modeler] list of must have plugin Free (http://spinquad.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2432)

The list also has links on where to get most of the plugins listed.

Hope this helps, if but a little.

I propose to go shopping at pictrix. A lot of free plug ins and lscripts.

Otherwise, my beloved plug ins I wouldn't like to live without:

Spin_Tri_Pairs
3DD-MeshReknitter
PointFit
WMapBlur
C_Bend
Select half
MirrorWeights
.....

Cheers

Hmm, is it? I'll have to check on that. It's a DStorm plug-in so I guess that's likely but here is the link anyway:

don't think the gene plugin is still there but you should be able to get it from here:

"Delete_Map" isn't built into the new 8.01. This plugin does it "en masse" (batch deleting).

When ever I come across an idea for a tool that I think would be really useful, I usually make it myself. So my two most used would be:

AlignAxis: http://mapage.noos.fr/samuelLK/Plugins/Plugins.html#AlignAxis (Better version with 1001 TnT, made mostly for non-organic stuff)
WeldPro: http://mapage.noos.fr/samuelLK/Plugins/Plugins.html#WeldPro (welding with symmetry and many other options)
