NVidia's latest batch of Detonator drivers claim "up to" 25% in performance increase, in addition to a revamped control panel.
Well, I briefly tried out the Hitman 2 demo and didn't notice any change performance wise, but that's hardly conclusive. I didn't bother to test any game speed increase because I was shocked when I loaded up Maya, playing animation in the viewport slowed to a crawl! I'm working on a animation using stand-in props (just cubes) and a character that's just sphere's parented to bones--and I couldn't even play that real-time when I could before!
I'm using a GF3 ti200 on Win2k with Maya 4. Just putting out a warning that that speed increase might just be hot air. :annoyed:
