View Full Version : need help on shader of dynamics>POND

hi all, i've created a default pond from the "dynamics" tab, i like everything with it, except for the fact that i'm stuck when i need the pond's shader to reflect stuff that is laying on top of it, eg:lilypads. it doesnt seem to have a setting for reflections as far as i can find, whereas the OCEAN shader has it. (but the way the ocean moves, it's not what i want,so i stuck back to POND)

i've got a custom phong shader , is there any way i can plug it into the pond's shader?without affecting the way the waves and wakes move?

i just need the reflection!!

no idea why they have that limitation in, but fluids can not reflect.

the workaround (and a mostly lousy one) is to convert the fluids to polygons via edit->convert->fluids to polygons

that new poly can have any material you wish

thanks for the quick response man~!
i've tried converting it to poly, but it seems that the poly wont deform according to the fluids? it's just a freezed mesh.. or am i wrong.
