mathew_er 12-25-2004, 06:45 PM finaly ... my first thread here. this is my school project. i have to design a chair and i need some feedback. im going for an office chair with a chicken foot, i know its kinda wierd combination =)

The mesh could be cleaner on the foot. And the arms don't really have a way of attaching to the base of the chair. Maybe put an arm on it to raise and lower it? There are also usually little cylander things on the bottom that tighten the tension of the arm spring. Just some ideas. Good idea for the chicken and chair thing.

@m0og0o: sorry i forgot to mention few things. the chair itself is just to present a basic shape. you are right, its very dirty mesh. im going to fix it. ;)

can anyone tell me about an easy way to model leather drapery on this chair?

so here is another update. i have done some material testing. have to finish this as soon as possible, maybe tonight.
is there any way to bake a texture in 3dsmax? materials are quiet heavy procedural so i sometimes consider myself lost in all those masks, fallofs and noises.
