View Full Version : how to deal with the normal?

The normal of the selected polygon in the scene was like the pic shown here, then how to rotate them together(I mean which function should I use, the rotate normal does't work properly) toward the ceter a bit so next time I extrude the selected polygon they can upward but they will act as shrink toward center.

it's not entierly clera whaqt you want to do... if you just want the whole lot to be facing more vertially what you should do is not attempt to rotate the poly normals, but select the inner or outer edge of Points on the poly's and move them up or down to affect the poly's normals for the next extrude...the shape you are producing... would it not be better to make a lathe nurbs shape with a low isoparm count set to linear interpolation?
