Okay, I just got the WACOM Volito Artpad for Christmas and its working GREAT. The only problem is, how do u change the effects the pressure should have to the brush? Like, well I read this on WACOMS site:

Question
How do Volito and Adobe Photoshop work together? If I press more, will the line appear then darker or broader?

Answer
Yes, Photoshop supports pressure sensitivity with Volito. You can make the stroke width, the transparency or both parameters dependant on the pressure applied to the pen.

Now, as u can see they say you can change so that it effects like the transparency by pressing softer and harder. But the only effect I am having on the brushes is a the stroke width which is thick when hard pressed and thin when pressed softly. So, how do I change so that it effects the transparency instead. Meaning when I press softly u cant see the lines, and when hard you can see it clear. And medium u see it 50% etc.?? Also if someone knows how to enable both to happen that would be cool to see as well.

PS. I've attached an Image of the Properties the Tablet can be changed. I cant see the pressure effects there :S Please help!

You have to also go into Photoshop's brushes palette and select the shape dynamics > size jitter to pen pressure and/or select other dynamic and set the opacity and/or flow to pen pressure and so forth. Depending on what you are trying to achieve.

you only need the artpad setup to setup your hardware.. And u only need to do it once, when your happy with the setup.

All the other setups u were talking about are software related. Meaning, opening the brushes palet and u'll find all the options that u need. Allmost every program works the same for that manner.

Now, train a steady and consistend hand and let u imagination run through the pen. HAVE FUN...

Nice present, though!!! Wished i got a present like that... :-)

One good thing to check in the brushes palette, is that it's set to smoothing ( or smooth?), otherwise you might get jagged/squarish lines especially when you're drawing quickly. One other thing to look at is to set "flow" to different settings, along with different settings of opacity.

It's quite a change from the mouse isn't it? :)
