CGTalk - Render view gone?

hi,

I lost my render view. When I click window -> rendering editors -> render view, nothing happens. pressing the render button makes maya render the image (I can see the details in the output window) but I can't see the result. This all makes me think the render view is somewhere outside the borders of my screen. Someone know how to fix this? It's friggin annoying.

I'm running Maya 6 on Wxp.

In your windowPrefs.mel file found in your maya\6.0\prefs\ folder there is a line that says
windowPref -topLeftCorner 88 155 -widthHeight 300 540 -parentMain true renderViewWindow;

Change the red numbers to something similar and restart Maya and it should hopefully get it back for you.
