CGTalk - Backface selection

hi all =)
I have a little problem in maya i hope you guys can help me with. It is a kind of simple problem, but i have trouble to find it.

When i have turned on Face selection, i just want to select the faces in front of me, not them behind. If you know what i mean.

Display > Custom polygon display > [Menu]

Click > Backculling > Apply

Is that what you mean?
