Hi raga,
this is my first tread in this forum; i am a c4d9 user and xsi user and my work is arch viz.
now i model 70% of my scenes in allplan ( architectural software) but modo interes me.
any one use modo in my work?
any one can explane me what are macro?
is a particular workfolow to expot from modo to xsi or c4d

thank you and sorry for my englesh

Modo and his workflow is incredible fast and efficient to make architecture and technical modeling ... i am now modeling all my work with it and all i can say is that Modo is simple perfect for me ... it has a lot of issues that speed up all polygonal modeling work, from instant workplanes to powerful macro recorder .... in a few days i am going to publish some images about architecture models created in Modo ... stay tuned ;-)

What about macro?

I usually use Lightwave for rendering, but sometimes i use XSI also. Here it is a gallery with some projects made with Modo, here you can see how powerful it is, a lot of models has been made only in few hours or days.

Nice work,
Can you describe your general workflow? ( do you start with dwg or illustrator files?, Are you using macros for repetitive tasks and how? are you using drill, boolean? ).

I'm interested in Modo but not sure yet I should move to it. I'm using Lightwave now and having problem when there are some part of the building angled to the main one. Can we assign working plane in Modo so I can turn to the plane I want working easily on that plane. ( like in Acad or FormZ)

Thanks,

Modo is a dream to work in not orthogonal plane projects ... it has work planes, who align all your model to selected poygon only with one key touch ... and what is more important, it has hadlers to make all operations, who could be aligned to world, selection, pick plane, etc ... so in most of cases you even dont need to chage workplane to make a simple operation, like move a polygon ... simple select it, chose selection or element handler, and move it in plane you selected ...

Thanks, Gonzalez,

As you said, it looks like Modo has more than I need, but will be very helpful in therm of design too. ( that what I reall looking for, free up the design from technical limitation.)
