its realy strange to see that no one has no word for this short WHILE a silly walk cycle animation gets many pages of talk that every
body has so many to share?!!

i find it strange too that responses are made to trailers and demo reels and such, and not to excersizes. and when there are responses, they vary from "great work  ",
to "really cool :bounce: ".

well here's c&c to your animation:
the motion itself of the mom and son is pretty good. the movement is belivable.
i think both of them have to much motion on the Y axis of their pelvis, which causes to many bendings of the knees. it makes them appear a bit weightless.

regarding the acting:
i think the point of "mom and son" is not emphazied at all. they're next to each other, the mom barely looks at her son at all. the son only looks at his mom routinely.
in such a situation, with a kind of toy in front of them, i'd accept the son to either be really excited about the toy, or a bit afraid and looking at his mom's encouragement or hiding behind her. what we get now is the mom playing and the son looking at the toy and at her. could be useful to look at some reference... the beach, kindergarden, nature vids.

btw- could be very helpful if you put a frame counter on it.

heheheh :) thats better this way .

thanx you a lot for your dear comments that helped me for a good vision buddy.

besides:

sometimes, some exercises have more life than that finished, polished, rendered and ' just

move the objects' ones if we are talking about ANIMATION ;)

Just an idea...a lot of people dont feel like going through all the trouble of downloading a zip file, and extracting it and everything. A lot of people like to just click the link and watch, even though the zip. file doesnt take that much longer.

I watched it though and I liked it a lot, good animation. Beleivable movement, keep it up

What do you want us to crit? There are the "Focused Critique" forums and "Work in Progress" forums that are maybe more suited for exercises and unfinished work, respectively.

They look like dinosaurs to me but they're kind of not shifting their weight correctly. Their tails wagging like that seems pretty ridiculous, and doesn't add anything to the acting. The mother I assume, is the big one. It seems backward to me that she's more playful and curious and the child is more cautious, not moving much at all.

And by the way, character walk cycles can represent a lot of work and thought when they're done correctly. Id rather spend my valuable time critiquing a 20-frame walk cycle that's "almost there" than 5 minutes of umotivated and weightless acting (yours in not this, dont worry).

Lets see some more,
