Modeled in 3ds max 4.0, default scanline render.
C&C very appreciated: composition, colors, lighting...
thanks!

Its a real cool piece. From a more artistic point of view I personally think that the girls face across the pic doesn't help you guide the viewer eye. It always pull your eye away from all the reall cool stuff that you have going on. Specialy the real strong source of light that comes from her head that's really distratic to he eye. Its not a bad piece at all I really like the idea not enough people think about composition. I just personally think that It could be much better. If you rearrange the placements of the figures. And this is is being really picky.

I really like the fanatasy/technology blend of it, gives it a nice contrast.

Only crit is maybe the glass(?) mask is too see-through, right now it looks like she has a super-glossy face and the air hose is floating.

Now just one more question :)
What are those creatures in the background?

VeryVery well done on modeling, What left behind is textures. If this model has a good texture, it would be perfect

Nice work. I'd like to see some close-ups of the figures in the lower right-hand corner.

Well, iīve made the glass more evident and visible, so now you can see the bubble shape better.
Stonepilot, iīve added a highlight just in the middle of the face, so it catches the eye attention. Rearranging the placement of the figures... mmmh itīs the composition so bad? iīve thought about it a lot (and i got a lot of time while rendering, believe me :) ) and i canīt get any other composition better, perhaps iīve been looking to this one too much.
The creatures on the background an on the bottom right are from my entry for the August Best of Burden challenge, you can see more images

Odd, when i saw the "sleeping beauty" and the little men in the corner it made me think of Snow White and the Seven Dwarves. Is this going to be a sci-fi remake? Could be an intersting sotry =). By the way, Great work!

Pancreas, hahaha, nice name.

On to the crit. As a standalone piece it is very good, sometimes the little things like the shiny glass isnt really all that bothersome if you make the reflections interact with the background scene. And as for the bottom right hand corner, I would leave it all out. Sinece someone mentioned before that the face cuts the image in half, your eyes never really get to move to the bottom of the picture anyway. And the bottom is where an author's name would usually end up. They would probably get covered up at printing time. I think you have a nice, beautiful piece here, even the colorscheme is working well.

it doesnt look all that cold. That glass face plate needs frost on it, ice crytals. It also looks to have no thickness to it.
Add some crack lines to the leather too. especially in neck area. if thats leather of course.... leather cracks in cold weather.

mmmhhhhh..... moooolaaa... :)

Both lighting and composition seem right to me. The only thing that bugs me a bit is those creatures at the bottom of the image. It's probably because they look too tiny compared with the rest of the characters and stuff in the image. Like they didnt fit or something cause they're smaller and not clearly seen.
Just an opinion... :P

Saludos.

very nice. The little scene to the bottom left does not do any good to the image. I think it would be better if that were left out.

Other than that, very nice.

I meant "Cold" as to the color scheme. All the blue hues make this piece very cold and relaxing and calm. As opposed to violent colors like Orange and Reds.
