Oh, I forgot. Only one suggestion that I have is maybe you try to crop an existing image or rerender? Something like this. IMHO this would be more expressive composition. Looks like a good pic for a magazine cover :-)

Can you post a closer render of just her. The only thing that seems odd is the ears seems a bit high. But it might be the camera angle

Chritter: The image was rendered in XSI. ( models and UVs in Maya ) no max here. sorry.

Everything is spiffy nice.

One thing though.. if it is ok to give a wee bit of motion blur on the robo legs to give a sence o'movement? I think it will enhance the compo overall.

El Fourbo: je sais, je sais... une bien triste histoire ( a real sad story ). Je me vois encore, au debut du projet, en culottes courtes ( real short pants ) jouant avec ma knacki herta au bord d'une riviere, entre la belle des champs et la vache qui rit ( the laughing cow ) et maintenant le docteur a dit que ce serait mon dernier projet avant la maison de retraite ( the nursing home )... :shrug:

Til I'm sorry to see that you couldn't tell that I was being sarcastic. . . but don't screw it up with motion blur and glow effects and other such flashy things. . . they cna be used to enhance things, but rarely are used that way.

I guess I just don't get what people love so much about this image. . . Lorex no offense, but it doesn't do anything for me. . . and if you want critiques I can see what i can do. . . but everyone is raving about this and I just don't understand. . .

i m sure that with a really soft glow on the creature and a little bit of noise on the pic, it will be better, for me it is too clean, too 3D

I was just ragging on about the glow effects... But I assume you were just making fun of me and I made a complete fool of myself once again. Which in ways is what has fueled me to write again in the first place :D

Alright. . . I'm lost. . . all I was doing was sarcastically saying that they needed lens flares, because it seemed that a bunch of people in here wanted glows and other such things. . .it's not a big deal.. It can be done right, it just isn't done right very often.

This is what i see... We are terrans looking at a pix that show an alien looking at an alien-non-organic thingy and find it curious. I see a message in it and it is how life is.

(it may be a pix to others and it may be a pix to another and it may be a pix to another and it may be a pix to another.....get it?)
