Title: Evaluation?
Name: Uwe Gleiss
Country: Germany
Software: (Other)
"Evaluation?" stands for an open question if doing tests is the only way of estimating the abilities of pupils (the idea was born while doing a sketch of pupils in an exam - once more thinking about the usefulness of written exams in increasing numbers).
"Constructed" and rendered in PovRay
I wanted to express the different stages of contemplation with as view and as simple elements as possible. On the other hand the picture should look as realistic as possible so most of the work went into light and tweaking radiosity. While expressing uniformity the pupils should have a certain amount of individuality left. The warm colours of the figures should stand in hard contrast to the situation (which is reflected in every single person).
Comments, wether I succeeded with the above mentioned (especially the mix of realism and simplicity) are welcome and please excuse a non to perfect english and the fact that this might be quite a simple work viewed from a professional point.
Thank you!
