But how can i adjust the depth?
I cant see any depth in the layout in messiah. I need some depth. Some perspective. My mind confuse when rigging.
Doesn't this bother you?
And can't i adjust this??

Hi Memodin - to get more perspective you can zuum out (alt + shift + LMB) and then dolly in
(alt + shift + RMB).
Hope that helps a bit :)

Yo the joker... i kissed yo.
So,
The Great messiah hasn't got any settings for "perspective amount". Thats good.Use the bracket keys-- [ and ]. That will increase/decrease the grid unit size.

Use the bracket keys-- [ and ]. That will increase/decrease the grid unit size. ... if you don't use a german (or other non-anglo) keyboard that is :banghead:
Otherwise you have to remap those keys with the Key Command Manager under the Customize Tab.
The problem is, that messiah still doesn't recognize the right ALT key (ALT GR on german keyboards) that is needed for those special characters...

I also can't find an equivalent of that perspective scroller that is found in LW.

I looked everywhere in Messiah. I don't think it exists.. someone should write a plugin for it.

I'm not sure if this is what you're after but left drag on the zoom icon (top right viewport) zooms (changes the amount of perspective) and right drag dollys in and out. I can easily get extreme perspective

That's a cube. Simply zoom back out then dolly in :)

Yes it does. Different zoom amounts change the perspective.

Just Left click and drag down until you see the perspective change and then dolly back in by right clicking and dragging up with the mouse. ;)

I am very sory guys...
I am, i am very sily and blind :banghead:
This was so simple :banghead:
I didn't realize the "RIGHT" mouse button. I always use "Left" when zooming. :banghead:
So the problem is there.

Thanks very much to all you people.
You were very helpful.
:applause:

...

But i wish that must be moved from there to a slider or another place. And this could be in the options panel.
Also i would change the scene color.
And also i would asign zoom in, zoom out short cut keys to another buttons (hard to used to from lw).

Why not give yourself some time to learn messiah first and look through it's options?

You can assign the zooms to other buttons -> Customize Tab -> Key Command Manager -> Navigation (Hit F3 to see it)

Not everything has to be like in lightwave (thanks god for that). It is a different tool with different options.

Thanks for your advice Thomas.
But i saw the key command manager.
And you can't asign the keys like that:
"Alt+shift+left mb." zoom -> "Ctrl+Alt+left mb." And other mouse gestures.
(also "a" key).
When asigning mouse gestures, the adjustments must be for both dragging left-right and up-down by saparate (i hope this can be for the next versions).

Also scroll button is important. I don't want it just zoom in and zoom out. This is not handy for me. For instance, I must able to asign xyz moving or hpb rotating OR passing to each (like LW) when scrolling. It'll be very handy.

And center mouse button may be adjustable. Even the speed of the mouse like in games.
(These are maybe little things but to hasten workflow, it is important).

Different options and tools are good but must be elastic. Messiah is elastic but i mean a little more elasticity will be very good for it.

I am a new rider on character animation.
Messiah seems very powerful.
I'm happy with it for now.
This newbie always needs advices...

I can't agree with this enough. Since buying Messiah and Modo I keep seeing LightWave users saying "how do I make this look/work like lightwave". Personally, I think they should just learn how to use it as is. There was a lot of thought put into both of these programs as to how they should work. Making these programs work like lightWave would be like putting a VW engine in a Ferrari. :D
