acidboy 09-02-2002, 07:37 AM Hi guys
Just wondering what (apart from this one ;) ) are the best 2d forums around?
Especially for character sketches.
thanks

You may want to check out: www.conceptart.org.
Second time today I posted these links :D
These are two of my favorites (aside from this one of course).
I still lurking on both forums, but have actually registered on Poo (you have to - in order to view thier forums). However, I haven't been able to work up the nerve to post on Poo. There is some serious talent there and they're kinda brutal to noobs. :)

Is the job I am doing that bad?
Well, I'm a regular poster on Sijun (http://www.sijun.com/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi) and occasional lurker on Eatpoo.
To be honest I find that Eatpoo is a bit, erm, immature at times? Lots of talent there though, and to be fair Sijun also has many problems. As for posting your stuff Kirt, you're good enough to post anywhere, that's for sure. To be honest the 2d in this place is getting quite good too, and a few regulars from both those other forums post here. I've seen quite a lot of stuff from Lunatique and Ballistic here, they're both talented and knowledgeable regulars on the other forums.

frog - You're right ... the content of some threads on Eatpoo is pretty immature. At times I am reminded of a certain show that runs late-night on the MTV network where they do really dumb stunts (and I probably couldn't mention the show title here without the censor filter kicking in). :D
And thank you for the compliment ... we'll see how it goes when I finally do post some work over there.

LOL I was only kidding ;)
Whatever you do, do what makes you feel best.
But you better stay tuned here. We have some pretty cool MiniChallenges and other stuff coming up...
I vistit eatpoo.com and conceptart.org a few times a week and I occasionally (double)post at conceptart.org
There are more forums but I think I cannot visit them all, and there is a lot of talent and a lot of sympathetic people here on cgtalk.com
This is my HomeBase

This is my homebase too, where I got started with digital painting. Big thanks to KoryH. I find the 3d works very inspiring (some of the best anywhere) and they're right here so I can easily browse though. The 2d section is going to keep getting better as more artists contribute. Also Jeroentje has some good ideas and is motivated.
This forum overall has a good "personality".
ps. Sijun... I gotta stop in just to see what Spooge_demon has done in the speed section.

Wacom- I've lurked there off & on for the past few weeks, he's mostly just posting in the speed paint thread. (was on a loose H2O color kick for awhile) The work is too good to pass up. KoryH is probably busy changing diapers...been there, done that.:)
