hello guys, i need some help on a model im working on, its an indoor scene and the issues that keep croping up, are that there appear to be mysterious splotches of light near the corners of surfaces in the building, i've setup a global illumination system which i think is responsible for these problems.. yet i cant figure out how to remove the problem, i have an example image, but cant attach it (i dont think i've posted enough messages?) but i can email it to anyone who would like to see in order to help me.

the second issue is along the same lines, where there are large splotches of light randomly appearing on surfaces, these splotches of light are round with a very bright center. once again i think this is to do with a global illumination problem. i also have an example image of this problem too.

if any of you guys have encounters these problems before and know how to remedy it, please do tell me, i would appreciate it greatly.

thankyou in advance,
bob

hey bob,

not a master on mray like some of the people here, but I do fiddle now and then....send an image to me at [webmasterattransistantdotnet], and i'll see what i can figure out...maybe you could send me your scene file too

im pretty sure what you're seeing is a result of your render globals settings for your GI not having enough detail...or maybe your caustics...but anyway, I'd be glad to take a look :]
