I just started thumbnailing and found the basic composition that I wanted. I'mm start geeting into further detail on the aircrafts now

This looks good so far. The only thing that is bothering me is the foreground ship. The edge of it is touching the bottom of the page, and the laser beam from the background ship is pointing right at it, essentially making a wedge that draws my eye to the bottom.

I think you would benefit from working on some other compostional studies to highlight the focus of your drawing. If it's the spacestation in the center, then making some spacecraft flying towards it would direct our eye in that direction. I can't wait to see more. Keep it up!!

I made new sketches and decided to give some character into the image. I'll post them up as soon as I go home. I won't have a scanner with me until next week. Sorry.

I was just having fun with my younger family member and hey~ stuck me...
Instead of running for the serious work I decided to run with a more colorful idea, and cutesier characters... Just to have fun~ I thought I could make a better opera with this idea than just a boring image of things in space.

I liked how the sketch of the scooter plane was coming out so I went in and started painting it in. I usually do a line art first and color it, but this time I tried blocking sillouettes in with bigger paint brushes to smaller detailed brushes as I made progress.

I needed a different kind of aircraft that looked like a spy plane. A UFO...
I want to make it look more advanced than the Cats' aircrafts. Just because I like the idea of an aircraft that you need to paddle with your feet can go faster than burning fuel~ hehe
I have the basic composition layed out right now so it should be just working and working from this point.

Phew... I'm posting a lot of work I know.. Didn't have internet access while I was having family time... tis the season. Anyways, I'm having difficulty trying to make the cat city look right.. Wanted make it look like a castle made with clouds. I also thought that I could put another character into the spy ship to make the chase more intense. reminded me of a bunny chase so I thought hey! let's add a bunny into the picture. right now the bunny looks kind of scary... But oh well.....

I thought I wold start adding in some landscape under te clouds.. need to work on that... I will have some of the mountain prts come up from the clouds. I still need to add a few more aircrafts...
