Title: Plaguebearer
Name: Skipper Brian
Country: Denmark
Software: 3ds max, Photoshop

Hey everybody,

This is my Nurgle Demon.
The design is from GW/Forgeworld, the modelling is done in max and textures in Photoshop.
Small touch-ups in Photoshop.

Critics on the modelling/texturing are welcome.

Cheers!

awesome design, but a couple things strike me as odd about this render. The texture is good, but extremly saturated. The shadow looks very fake. What is that green cloud in the BG? It looks like those clouds they always show in a cartoon when someone farted :)

I love the face and back design though, great job.

B3AND1P... You're first again :) and You spotted all the weak/strong points of the pic pretty much the same way I see it... Not much more to add... perhaps I'd would just request for some pre-postproduction renders just to see how much of those small "touch-ups" were there and some wires ('cause it doesn't look really high poly) to appreciate the textures...

The character looks really great.

Um...? Is that his guts coming out of his stomach? yuck, gross! :)

I think the cloud is a cloud of pestulance ( i think thats spelt right ) In the warhammer world the are followed by such a cloud. I like the model and stuff and will basically be repeating what the guy above has said. Also how about some gooey foot prints on the floor or something? Extremely clean enviroment which is complete opposite of everything nurgle stands for !!! hehe

Very cute ! :D No, excellent work, guy ! I love the texturing. It's really reminds me miniatures from Warhammer.

Hi thx for the responds

Yes the shadow and the bag ground is meshed-up in Photoshop J

Didn’t want to model all the terrain around the guy so that why it has the bag ground and the floor… it’s just to show the model, should I have made it all white?

Here is wire

Cheers!

nah, make the ground brown or dark grey or something and ease up on the color saturation. maybe through a simple poly ground under him so you get some realistic shadows where his feet meet the ground, then render, then photoshop. hope that makes sense. great daemon!
