Which driver did you install?

You have to be careful as there are so many different types, i.e. Max 'tuned', or basic.

I've heard that some people have problems with the max tuned ones (Maxtreme) and prefer to use the latest standard driver.

Is the fan on the card spinning? Is it dirty? Couuld be that it is not getting proper cooling. I even had a fx5600 that was acting flakey, even rebooting pc. I removed fan and realized the thermal past was getting quite dry, cleaned and reapplied past and it is tip top now.

i'd have to agree with rabid pitbull....

seen this many times, on geforce ti4200's and ati 9700 pro's and a few other cards ....

check ur video card fan, even a little bit of dirt can cause overheating, especially if its in a hot room or a poorly ventilated case....

I used to have to clean my ati9700pro about once every two months in the summer... windows open, dusty air, etc etc... swapped the cooler on the card for something about 5 times larger, havnt had to clean it since....
