I am trying to adjust the global scale of a Maya scene. I cannot locate anything in the Help Files or Documents on this. Does anyone know how to adjust this? In lightwave there is a setting for grid size but I see nothing equivelent in Maya. Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks

What do you mean, making the grid bigger or smaller???
The answer would be that, you cant.
You can make the spacing larger or smaller in windows>prefrences area, by changing the units.

Or you can turn the grid off in any of the windows you want.

If you need your scene to fit on to the grid you have to group all the objects together (temporarily) scale them up or down, and then ungroup them.

To the best of my knowledge, those are the only solutions for your question.

if you want to change the world-out-there's scale with respect to your model, you might just change the value of working units, as found in your preference settings. your grid units will respect whatever working units you are now in .. Not entirely sure what your after. it appears that maya likes to handle its units as cm's, esp regarding dynamics, so be warned (nothing wrong with above mentioned method to scale model w respect to world, tho it is done in transform and not local space).

Actually you can ... go to Display->Grid option box->Size->Length and Width ...
Of course, the grouping/scaling works too ...
