View Full Version : Needs Ninja Turtles Concept
skeletor 09-01-2002, 09:46 PM Hey guys! First I must say that my drawing skills are very bad. Second, I want to make a 3D reinvented ninja turtle. I want to make a turtle more older, more mature physacally and mentally. A little more darker than the tv serie. More like the comic serie. They are more bad ass when it come to battle and Leonardo cuts other things than pizza with is blades. So if anyone have nothing to do and is ok to do some concept art (something ike front, side, face, members. . .usefull for modelling) anyway. A bit of imagination should be good and must keep in mind that they are ninja not barbarian (for proportions matters!!) and and too much muscle is like not enough. . . no over exageration. . . anyway, maybe no one will answer but I have some ideas found here and there on the net. . .some reference maybe. . .cya!

Why not look at the new TV series based off the comics?? far darker than the original TV series.

---Sorry for giving no answer! I just got an operation last week and I'm sleeping alot. . . far fromt the computer. . . sorry again.
---First, I really like your sketch teknotek83. I would like to see a complete body for the proportion matter. And I think that maybe the upper body could be more in V. But again, could be wrong. . . For the circle-ish head I kinda like it!! It makes it different from the original flat head they had! But for the rest I really like it. He's more thin than the original, a good thing if we think they are ninjas! Leaves more room for fluid movement. I you're willing to do a more detailled one I would really be intesrested to see it!
---Kaiskai: For using the "latest" serie (cause another one's coming! OH Yeah!!). I dont really like the look they gave them. Yes they were more athletic but there's something over exagerated that I dislike. . .just look at the front shell. .. kinda weird! Looks like the Batman suit!
---And the drawing in my avatar aint mine! I truly sucks at drawing! It's Joe Madureira, a guy who worked on the X-Men comics. It's the image that put me back into the turtles! Go there:
http://www.countingdown.com/movies/tmnt/multimedia/images?item_id=29252 for the largest version I've found.
There's some very nice artworks on the original http://www.ninjaturtles.com
just take the time to go through the fan art and you can find some really nice design there too.

By the way, they are making a new serie, new cg movie (directed by John Woo and with about 50 millions of budget) and a new game's also on the list for the new platforms)
