Hey Guys

I've got to print something out in photoshop at 72dpi so that it fills a quarter of a piece of A4 (which i guess is A6). What is the resolution?

Thanks

Photoshop uses the metric system. Where it says pixels when creating a new document, change it to cms.

set it to cm, and fill in "74.25" and "5.25", this is one fourth of an A4.
Now, if you're going to print this, i'd actually set it to 300 dpi, or 150 at least.
72 is screen-resolution, and you wont get a clear print with this, it'll either be blurry or very dotted.
good luck.

74.25 by 5.25? Is that right?

This website: http://www.cl.cam.ac.uk/~mgk25/iso-paper.html

says A6 is 105 × 148

A6 is 105mm x 148mm

If you want to work at Pixels (DPi) divide the above measurements by 25.4 to give you inches.
Multiply this by the resoultion your working in, to give you pixel measurements.

(easier - set CM (or inches) measurement in Image size and it will tell you the pixel dimensions at the top of the window.

Agree with last post - 72dpi is a little low for print - especially if its photographic.
