A sweet short Dinosaur animation, inspired by the BBC-Documentation "Walking with Dinosaur":

I don't know if it is ment to be funny
But it is :)
Looks more like the sfx of the old japanese godzilla movies then an attempt to reproduce Walking with Dinosaurs :)
I really do hope it was ment to be funny :)

That looked freaky :P
I liked the style. But those were plastic dinosaurs, right? At least it looks like you manipulated still pictures of plastic dinosaurs (??).

It suits the whacky style of the animation but I don't think dinosaurs walked differently from todays animals, front and back legs don't walk simultaniously (makes it look like two guys in a suit ;))

lmao..:scream: :scream: .

Im not so sure you meant to produce a comedy .but it made me laugh...but if it is supposed to be serious then the the timing and movement is way off.........

Only thing it's missing is your typical nature show narator...ahh if only Lorn Green didn't take that great sufari ride to the tranquile outback of the beyond.

Hi!

Thanks for your answers!

First: Originally it wasn't intended to be funny, but then it turned out that a serious animation doesn't work. So I switched to a funny style.

And: You are right, these are small toy-Dinosaur I got when I was a small child. They are animated only with warping. With the same technique I created "George & Ossi". (See my recent posting http://www.cgtalk.com/showthread.php?threadid=18004 for more info)

I take it we shouldn't take that too seriously, right?

Funny stuff. Would like to see more. Was it all purely 2d manipulations or was there any 3d stuff involved?

When can we see more? There needs to be a whole series of these. I shared this around and EVERYONE here loves it.

I really loved watching this one, how about doing one in black and white, with film grain and scratches.

I think it rocks dude!

Thanks, I'm really glad to here that! :)
The problem is that I don't have more yet, and creating this animation took about three weeks, so you will have to wait a bit.
But will be continued!

BTW: Does anyone know a TV-Station or something else were I can sell my animations? (Then I would do a series) :deal: ;)
