Hi whazzup? This is the next character i'm working on. It suddenly came out of my freaky mind, i think it's a mixture of a squirrel and some kind of monkey. Do u think it's good to start with rigging and texturing? If not, can you give me any suggestions for the legs? I don't like them.
Coolest thing would be if you could do a quick sketch over the existing pic and E- Mail it to me. predator-2002@gmx.net. If it's too much i want form you then ignore the last 2 lines plz ;)

Left: smoothed mesh
Right: unsmoothed

due to the huge (really huge ;) ) amount of replies i decided to go on with texturing and rigging. There seems to be one problem. when I rotate head bone, the head gets kinda deformed, that sucks cuz head movement is essential in animation... see yourself:

can someone help me? i'm stuck here and dunno how to go on...thx in advance for possible solutions :)

Hi, nice looking little fella,
Kind reminds me of Gizmo from gremlins, which is no bad thing.
Looks like your using Max so I can't help with your rig, but I'm sure somebody on here can help you...

are you sure, that no other Bones influence these head vertices?

because to me it looks like the "deformed" head-vertices are also linked to other bones, and so they don't move correctly with the head bone...

i'm pretty sure about this, my type-in-weights-window says it ;)

dunno what else it can be, i will tweak till i get this ,though it drives me mad!!

Got it!! well, not really, but it's a big step to the goal...
the deformation doesn't occur when I rotate both the Bip01 Head and the Bip01 Neck.
So it seems that the vertices are still linked to the neck bone but I don't know how or why!
I will not try to change something else, its good how it is...will be back with updates and perhaps a little animation soon...:wip:
