this still is entitled "atomic".
Atomic is an animation for my research project in my university about lighting. I used 3d studio max rendered with mentalray and photoshop. I'd like your opoinion about this image andmaybe your suggestions. thanks for looking. takis

For me personally it is easy to see that this is a still frame of a animation, because there is no real focus for the scene. It looks great, but it doesn't work as well as a still frame IMHO because it is soo busy and even lit.

I'm totally untrained but think the object in the center draws my attention.

Right, but what do you see what you look in the center? A bunch of more detail with nothing really of value. The endges of the sphere blend completly in to the background as well, so it is kinda tough to even tell it from the bg.

thank you all for your comms. actually this project is about lighting technics.
i use hdri image as bg an caustics with FG.
you cannot see the caustics in this image because they turn up later on in the animation. i will update this image later on in order to uderstand what i mean..again thanks for your comments.....takis

What I see when I look at the render is complexity surrounded by what appears to be simplicity, but by seeing the complexity of the object in the center I know that it is only one level of further complexity.
So it stimulates my imagination to intelligent design.
